Twinbo

I met Terry Beech in March 2009, outside the cable car at the top of Grouse Mountain. We got chatting about Ski bags and ended up building a website together! It turned out that Terry and his twin brother Doug run Twinbro together, a local Vancouver not-for-profit organization who empower youth to take action towards a successful future:

Twin brothers Doug & Terry Beech were average high school students who discovered strategies to get themselves out of poverty, into post-secondary education, and experience a rewarding life. Together they won over $100,000 in scholarships, travelled the world, & earned six-figure salaries out of their undergradaute degrees.

Twinbro's mission is to inspire youth to be confident individuals who see the value of post-secondary education and believe in their ability to attain it. Twinbro supports academic success and personal development by connecting youth with relatable role models and informative resources.

They needed a website to help get the message out, and to act as a resource for students and schools, backing up the great work they were doing at their seminars and workshops. I designed and built a fresh modern website for them, giving them all the tools they needed to help them to help others.

Resources for Students

The new website features a clean modern look which fit in well with the existing Twinbro brand. It also provides them with a full content management system, allowing them to easily manage and update the website, with minimal training.

The website also lets them easily integrate with Scribd, to publish their extensive library of example scholarship applications, in PDF format. It includes a fully integrated Wordpress powered blog and social media support, including twitter and blog feeds on the main website:

As well as the blog, twitter and facebook integration, the new Twinbro website integrates with Eventbrite, to power their events pages - helping to get the word out about upcoming seminars and workshops that they're running.
